Milton Town School District is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Literacy/Math Interventionist to join our talented team of educators for the 2025-2026 school year. This role focuses on supporting elementary-grade students through targeted literacy and math interventions, ensuring their academic and social-emotional growth. We are seeking candidates who align with our commitment to the whole-child framework and have experience implementing Restorative Practices as part of classroom management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted, individualized literacy and math interventions to students, ensuring alignment with Common Core Standards.
- Utilize evidence-based, research-driven teaching practices, including specially designed instruction.
- Implement differentiation strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff to develop and deliver comprehensive support for students.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes both academic success and social-emotional development.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in literacy and math instruction. Due to the shortage of special education teachers, we seek qualified regular teachers to provide specially designed instruction. Teachers in this role will not have a standard classroom/course assignment.
