We are seeking married couples to serve as flex houseparents, providing a family-like environment for students in pre-K through 12th grade.
About Flex Houseparents
Flex houseparents are couples who reside in on-campus student homes, guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students. They provide a consistent family-like structure for students and handle responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, etc.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing nurturing and guidance to groups of students in a family-like environment
- Managing daily activities, including driving, budgeting, and reporting
- Administering medication and providing medical care as needed
- Fostering personal development in students, including leading daily devotions and taking students to Sunday chapel services
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- A high school diploma or GED
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- A valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Both spouses must complete an individual employment application
