Flex Houseparent Role
We are seeking experienced couples who can provide guidance and support to groups of 8-12 students in on-campus homes. As a flex houseparent, you will create a family-like environment, handle responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting, and lead daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. This unique role offers a competitive salary package, including $43,825 per person, totaling approximately $150,000 per couple, which also includes free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and other benefits.
Responsibilities
As a flex houseparent, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to students, creating a safe and nurturing environment, and handling various responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting. You will also be required to lead daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. Your spouse will work alongside you to ensure a harmonious and supportive living environment.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. You must be a legally married couple with at least two years of marriage, both spouses being 27 years or older. Additionally, you should have valid driver's licenses, ability to become certified to drive student home vans, and be comfortable leading students in daily devotions. You must also abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, with limitations on pets. A high school diploma or GED is required, and you must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
