The Role of Houseparents
Couples will serve as flex houseparents, guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students in a family-like environment. Responsibilities include driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting, as well as leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. A valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans are required.
What We Offer
This role comes with a competitive salary of $43,825 per person, totaling approximately $150,000 per couple. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as health savings and flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability options, and retirement savings. Relocation assistance and paid training are also provided. A schedule of nine days on followed by three days off, with workdays including personal time while students are at school, is offered. Three-week paid summer vacation is also included.
Requirements and Qualifications
Applicants must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. Abiding by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, as well as limitations on pets, is essential. A high school diploma or GED is required, and candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity.
