Job Description
As a houseparent at Milton Hershey School, you will be responsible for providing a stable and loving home environment for 8-12 students. You will oversee their daily lives, guide them in their education, and ensure their well-being. As a married couple, you will live on-campus and work together as a team to create a family-like structure for your students.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses must be age 27 or older, and you should have a high school diploma or GED. You will also need to be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. Additionally, you must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students.
