What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caring Family Environment for Students position at Milton Hershey School?
Milton Hershey School is seeking committed couples to join our team as flex houseparents. In this unique role, you will provide a nurturing family-like environment for 8-12 students from disadvantaged backgrounds while residing in on-campus housing.
The ideal candidate couple will have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses must be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
As a flex houseparent, you will guide and nurture your assigned group of students, handling responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting. You will also participate in daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
We offer a competitive salary of $43,825 per person (a total compensation package of approx. $150,000 per couple), comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, and paid training.
In return for your commitment, you will enjoy a structured work schedule of nine days on followed by three days off, including a period of personal time while students are at school. You will also receive three-week paid summer vacation.
