Nurturing Students to Success
Milton Hershey School is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. We are seeking a caring and compassionate couple to join our team as Flex Houseparents and help shape the lives of our students.
Key Responsibilities
As a Flex Houseparent, you will be responsible for providing a nurturing environment for students in a family-like setting. You will work closely with your spouse to guide and support a group of 8-12 students, covering various responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting. When initially hired, you will cover different student homes before being assigned to one specific home.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you and your spouse must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. You must also be legally married for at least two years, both spouses must be 27 years or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. Additionally, you must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (Note: Proselytizing is prohibited).
