Job Description
As a houseparent at Milton Hershey School, you will be responsible for guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students in a family-like setting. You will handle daily responsibilities, such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, and ensuring the overall well-being of our students. We require flexibility and adaptability, as this role involves working with different student homes before being assigned to one specific home.
Required Skills and Qualifications
We seek married couples who have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. Valid driver's licenses and the ability to become certified to drive student home vans are also required. Couples must demonstrate a high degree of integrity and be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. High school diplomas or GEDs are necessary, and both spouses must complete an individual employment application.
