Milton Hershey School is a world-renowned private school that provides an exceptional education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. We are looking for married couples to become part of our team as House Parents. In this role, you will live in an on-campus student home and care for approximately 8-12 students, providing a family-like environment and supporting their academic and personal growth. Your responsibilities will include driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting to ensure the students' well-being.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary of $43,825 per person, totaling around $150,000 per couple. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability options, and retirement savings. Additionally, we provide relocation assistance, paid training, and a three-week paid summer vacation. Our schedule allows for nine days on followed by three days off, giving you time to relax and recharge while students are at school.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. We require a valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans. Couples must also be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. A high school diploma or GED is required, and both spouses must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as role models for students.
