What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Care Providers position at Milton Hershey School?
We are seeking married couples who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students from disadvantaged backgrounds. As Youth Development Specialists, you will play a vital role in guiding and nurturing students in a family-like environment.
Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include providing a consistent family-like structure for students, handling responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, and more. Flex houseparents cover different student homes initially before being assigned to one specific home.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, have no more than three dependent children residing in the student home, and be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
They should also have a valid driver's license, be able to become certified to drive student home vans, and possess a high school diploma or GED. A high degree of integrity is essential, as all staff are role models for students.
