Job Responsibilities
As a Youth Development Specialist, you will provide guidance and support to 8-12 students in a consistent family-like environment. You will drive, administer medication, create a budget, and handle various responsibilities. Flex houseparents reside in on-campus student homes, guiding and nurturing students, and handling responsibilities such as reporting and record-keeping.
Requirements
Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings, is essential. Both spouses must be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. You must abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, limiting pets to fish and one dog of approved breeds. A valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans are required. Comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services are necessary skills. A high school diploma or GED is required, and candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students.
