What are the responsibilities and job description for the Couple Support Staff position at Milton Hershey School?
We are seeking married couples to join our team as House Parents. As part of our residential program, you will provide essential support and guidance to students from disadvantaged backgrounds in a family-like environment.
Responsibilities
As House Parents, your responsibilities will include managing daily responsibilities such as transportation, student well-being, and providing a consistent family-like structure for students. You will also handle responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting.
Requirements
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- Legally married couple with at least two years of marriage
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Ability to abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Valid driver's license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students
