The Milton Hershey School seeks married couples to become part of its team as Flex Houseparents. In this unique career path, you will have the chance to make a lasting impact on the lives of students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
As a Flex Houseparent, you will reside in an on-campus student home with your spouse and provide a family-like environment for approximately 8-12 students. Your responsibilities will include guiding and nurturing students, managing daily tasks such as transportation and medication administration, and providing budgeting and reporting support.
This is a two-person job that requires couples who have been legally married for at least two years. Both spouses must be age 27 or older and comfortable living in a smoke-free and weapon-free campus. Valid driver's licenses are required, and ability to become certified to drive student home vans is necessary.
You will also be expected to lead students in daily devotions and take them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. Proselytizing is prohibited. A high school diploma or GED is required, and candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students.
