About the Role
As residential counselors, couples will live on campus, overseeing the care and guidance of 8-12 students while handling various responsibilities including transportation, budgeting, and health administration. They will also provide a consistent family-like structure for students and handle responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily care and support to students
- Assist with transportation, meal preparation, and household chores
- Administer medications and maintain accurate records
- Monitor student behavior and report any concerns to school administrators
Requirements
To be successful in this role, couples must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and demonstrate a high degree of integrity. Both spouses must complete an individual employment application and meet the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students
