What are the responsibilities and job description for the Couples Liaison for Youth Development position at Milton Hershey School?
Milton Hershey School is a world-renowned private educational institution that provides an exceptional career-focused education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. We are seeking married couples to join our team as Houseparents, where they will play a vital role in nurturing and mentoring a group of 8-12 students in a family-like environment.
Candidates must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. The successful couple will be required to abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus policy and limit their pet ownership to fish and one dog of approved breeds.
As a Houseparent, you will provide support and guidance to students, manage various responsibilities including transportation and health administration, and lead daily devotions. You will also take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. A valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans are essential requirements. High school diploma or GED is required, and candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including salary of $43,825 per person (a total compensation package of approx. $150,000 per couple), medical, dental, and vision insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability options, and retirement savings. Relocation assistance and paid training are also provided.
