Milton Hershey School seeks married couples to become Flex Houseparents, providing a family-like structure for students in our on-campus homes. As a Flex Houseparent, you will reside with your spouse and a group of 8-12 students, managing daily responsibilities and ensuring their well-being.
About the Role
You will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment that promotes the academic, emotional, and social growth of our students. This includes managing daily schedules, providing guidance and support, and participating in activities that foster a sense of community.
Benefits
As a Flex Houseparent, you will receive a competitive salary of $43,825 per person (totaling approximately $150,000 per couple), comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, and paid training. You will also enjoy a schedule of nine days on followed by three days off, with a period of personal time while students are at school.
Qualifications
To be eligible, you must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses must be age 27 or older, have been legally married for at least two years, and hold a high school diploma or GED. You must also be able to lift up to 50 lbs and demonstrate a high degree of integrity.
