Milton Hershey School is a world-renowned private school that has been providing an exceptional education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds since 1909. As a house parent, you will play a vital role in creating a family-like environment for students, overseeing their daily needs and education.
This unique role is designed for married couples who live on-campus and provide guidance and support to a group of 8-12 students. With a total compensation package of approx. $150,000 per couple, this position is ideal for couples who are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of students.
As a house parent, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing a safe and supportive environment for students
- Oversight of students' daily needs and education
- Leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services
- Assisting with driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, etc.

To qualify for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- This is a two-person job for couples who have been legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses should be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Limitations on pets
- Valid driver's license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
