Milton Hershey School seeks married couples to join our team as Youth Development Specialists. As a couple, you will reside on campus and provide guidance and nurturing to students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The role involves working as flex houseparents, providing daily care and support to approximately 8-12 students. Your responsibilities will include driving, administering medication, managing household activities, and creating a supportive family-like environment.
We offer a competitive salary of $43,825 per person, with a total compensation package that includes free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more. Comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, are also provided.
Our work schedule consists of nine days on followed by three days off. Workdays include personal time while students are at school. A three-week paid summer vacation is also included in your compensation package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care and support to students from disadvantaged backgrounds
- Reside on-campus with your spouse and live in a student home
- Drive and administer medication as needed
- Manage household activities and create a supportive family-like environment
- Participate in daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services
