Milton Hershey School is seeking a couple to serve as flex houseparents for a group of students. As a Youth Development Specialist, you and your spouse will create a nurturing environment that fosters academic success and personal growth. You will guide, support, and nurture students, creating a family-like atmosphere that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Responsibilities
As a Youth Development Specialist, your responsibilities will include creating a nurturing environment for students, guiding and supporting them in their academic and personal pursuits, managing household budgets, and reporting on student progress. You will also lead daily devotions and take students to Sunday chapel services. In addition, you will participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be at least 27 years old, and you should have a high school diploma or GED. You must also be able to lift up to 50 lbs and demonstrate a high degree of integrity.
