What are the responsibilities and job description for the Education Mentor position at Milton Hershey School?
Milton Hershey School is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Education Mentor to join our team as a Houseparent Leader. As a married couple, you will serve as flex houseparents, guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students in a family-like environment.
You will be responsible for providing daily support to students, handling responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting. You will also work closely with other houseparents and school administrators to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
The ideal candidate will have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong sense of commitment, compassion, and responsibility.
