Milton Hershey School is seeking experienced couples to join our team as Houseparents, Full-Time. As a Houseparent, you will provide a nurturing family-like environment for students, guiding them through various aspects of life while residing on campus. This unique role requires married couples to support a small group of students, ensuring a consistent structure and offering personal and educational guidance.
The ideal candidate will have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and they must have been legally married for at least two years. Couples must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (Note: Proselytizing is prohibited). Additionally, valid driver's licenses are required, and the ability to become certified to drive student home vans is essential.
The benefits package includes a salary of $43,825 per person (a total compensation package of approx. $150,000 per couple), comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, and vision insurance; health savings and flexible spending accounts; life insurance; disability options; retirement savings), relocation assistance, paid training, nine days on followed by three days off work schedule, and three-week paid summer vacation.
