Providing Educational Support
Milton Hershey School is dedicated to providing students with the support they need to succeed academically and personally. As a House Parent, you will play a vital role in providing educational support to our students, helping them to reach their full potential and achieve their goals.
You will be responsible for providing daily care and guidance to students, leading them in daily activities, and supporting their academic growth. You will also be expected to maintain open lines of communication with teachers and other school staff to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful as a House Parent, you will need to have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. This is a two-person job for couples who have been legally married for at least two years. Both spouses should be age 27 or older. No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students. Candidates must complete an individual employment application.
