Milton Hershey School is a world-class private school that provides an exceptional education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. We are seeking married couples to join our team as family care providers, who will live on-campus and provide a nurturing environment for students.
Responsibilities
The family care provider role requires a high degree of commitment and consideration from both spouses. Couples will guide and support 8-12 students, manage daily responsibilities such as budgeting and administering medication, and create a family-like structure for students.
Flexibility is key in this role, as couples will need to adapt to changing situations and priorities. They must be comfortable leading daily devotions and taking students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
Couples must also demonstrate a high level of integrity and be willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, couples must have:
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- A valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- A high school diploma or GED
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- A high degree of integrity and commitment to the role
