What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Nurturers position at Milton Hershey School?
At Milton Hershey School, we are seeking dedicated couples to join our team as Family Nurturers. This unique role involves providing a family-like environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds, living in on-campus homes with a focus on guidance and nurturing. As a Family Nurturer, you will work closely with your partner to support students' daily needs while fostering a positive and safe living atmosphere.
The ideal candidate couple will have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. They should be legally married for at least two years, both be age 27 or older, and have no more than three dependent children residing in the student home. We are committed to maintaining a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, and pets are allowed only in certain circumstances.
As a Family Nurturer, you will be responsible for leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. You must also be comfortable with driving student home vans and handling other responsibilities that come with this role.
