As a houseparent, you will live on campus with your spouse and guide a group of 8-12 students. Your role will involve handling various responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting. You will also provide a consistent family-like structure for our students and ensure their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.
The salary for this position is $43,825 per person, totaling approximately $150,000 per couple. This includes free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and other benefits. As a houseparent at MHS, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students and develop strong relationships with them. You will also have access to paid training and relocation assistance.
We are seeking couples who have been legally married for at least two years and meet certain qualifications. These include experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Both spouses must complete an individual employment application and demonstrate a high degree of integrity.
