What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Support Team Members position at Milton Hershey School?
Milton Hershey School is hiring married couples to become flex house parents. As a flex house parent, you and your spouse will reside in on-campus student homes and guide and nurture a group of approximately 8-12 students. You will provide a family-like environment for the students and handle various responsibilities, including driving, administering medication, and budgeting.
We are looking for couples who have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. This is a two-person job that requires both spouses to be age 27 or older and to have been legally married for at least two years. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
You will also be required to abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus and to have valid driver's licenses. Additionally, you will need to demonstrate a high degree of integrity and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a consistent family-like structure for students, handling responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, etc.
