Milton Hershey School is seeking experienced couples to serve as Houseparents in a residential setting. As Education Professionals, you will provide a nurturing and stable home for 8-12 students, guiding them through daily life, academics, and personal development.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing household tasks, ensuring the well-being of our students, and engaging with your community. You will also have the opportunity to participate in local events and activities that promote positive relationships and personal growth.
This position requires a strong commitment to the values of Milton Hershey School, as you will be serving as role models for our students. You must be comfortable leading daily devotions and taking students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. Additionally, you will need to demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and a high degree of integrity.
As Child Development Specialists, you will work closely with our team to ensure the social, emotional, and academic growth of our students. You will create a safe and supportive environment that encourages learning, exploration, and creativity.
- We offer a competitive salary of $43,825 per person (a total compensation package of approx. $150,000 per couple), comprehensive benefits, and relocation assistance.
- Relocation assistance and paid training are provided.
- You will enjoy a schedule of nine days on followed by three days off, with a period of personal time while students are at school.
- We also offer a three-week paid summer vacation.
Our ideal candidate has experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. We require a valid driver's license and the ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
