We are seeking married couples to become Houseparents, Full-Time at Milton Hershey School, where we provide an exceptional career-focused education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Our Houseparents play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for our students.
As a Houseparent, you will live on-campus and work closely with other staff members to ensure the well-being and success of our students. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience in childcare, teaching, and leadership.
Our Houseparents receive a competitive compensation package, including salary, comprehensive benefits, and relocation assistance. They also enjoy a flexible schedule with nine days on followed by three days off, allowing for quality time with their families.
Job Description:
- Provide guidance, support, and a family-like environment for a small group of students
- Drive students to appointments and activities
- Administer medication and provide basic care
- Oversight of daily activities and events
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- A high school diploma or GED required
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
