The Milton Hershey School is a world-renowned institution that provides an exceptional education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. As a Youth Development Specialist, you will be part of a team that guides and nurtures students in on-campus student homes, providing a family-like structure and ensuring their well-being.
As a Flex Houseparent, you will reside in one of our student homes with your spouse and care for a group of approximately 8-12 students. You will provide daily guidance, manage daily activities, and ensure the students' physical and emotional needs are met.
The position requires a commitment to fostering a supportive educational environment and promoting the personal growth and development of our students. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing a stable and nurturing environment for students
- Managing daily activities and routines
- Ensuring students' physical and emotional needs are met
- Collaborating with other staff members to promote student development
We offer a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, and paid training. Our unique schedule allows for nine days on followed by three days off, as well as three-week paid summer vacation.
Qualified candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and complete individual employment applications. Both spouses must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
