What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guidance and Caregiving Opportunity for Married Couples position at Milton Hershey School?
Milton Hershey School is seeking experienced married couples to join its team as houseparents. As a houseparent couple, you will live on-campus with students from disadvantaged backgrounds, providing guidance and care in their daily lives.
The ideal candidate will have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. This is a two-person job for couples who have been legally married for at least two years, both spouses should be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
Responsibilities include providing a family-like structure, driving students, administering medication, and helping with budgeting. You will also lead students in daily devotions and take them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (Note: Proselytizing is prohibited). In return, you will receive a comprehensive compensation package, including free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more.
Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students. Both spouses must complete an individual employment application and meet the requirements listed below.
