Milton Hershey School is a private educational institution that provides an exceptional career-focused education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. We are seeking Youth Development Specialists, married couples who will serve as flex houseparents, guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students residing in our on-campus student homes.
Couples must have experience working with youth, preferably in under-served settings. They must also have been legally married for at least two years, be age 27 or older, and have no more than three dependent children residing in the student home. A valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans are also required.
Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all staff members are role models for students. The ideal candidates will be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (Note: Proselytizing is prohibited).
The Youth Development Specialist role offers a competitive salary of $43,825 per person (a total compensation package of approx. $150,000 per couple), comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, and paid training. The schedule includes nine days on followed by three days off, with workdays including a period of personal time while students are at school.
