Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful as a houseparent at Milton Hershey School, you must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Couples should have been legally married for at least two years, with both spouses being age 27 or older. They should also be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (Note: Proselytizing is prohibited). A high school diploma or GED is required, and candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students.
