Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to serve as House Parents, providing a family-like structure for disadvantaged students in a residential setting. This unique position requires a legally married couple to create a supportive environment while managing various responsibilities such as transportation, medication, and budgeting.
The ideal candidate couple will have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings, and be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. They must also be able to lift up to 50 lbs and demonstrate a high degree of integrity.
As a House Parent couple, you will receive comprehensive benefits, including a competitive salary, relocation assistance, and paid training. You will also enjoy a schedule of nine days on followed by three days off, with a period of personal time while students are at school.
In this role, you will provide a consistent family-like structure for students and handle responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, etc. When initially hired, you will cover different student homes before being assigned to one specific home.
