At Milton Hershey School, we are seeking married couples to join our team as House Parents. This unique career path offers a chance to provide guidance and support to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. As a House Parent couple, you will reside in an on-campus student home and create a family-like environment for approximately 8-12 students. Your responsibilities will include driving, administering medication, budgeting, and ensuring the overall well-being of your assigned students.
Schedule and Benefits
We offer a schedule that includes nine days on followed by three days off, allowing for personal time while students are at school. Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. We require a valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans. Couples must also be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. A high school diploma or GED is required, and both spouses must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as role models for students.
