Job Responsibilities and Qualifications
Milton Hershey School is seeking a married couple to become Houseparents and provide a nurturing environment for disadvantaged students in a family-like setting. As a Houseparent, you will be responsible for guiding and supporting 8-12 students as they navigate their education and personal development. You will also handle responsibilities such as transportation, medication administration, budgeting, and other duties while offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a consistent family-like structure for students* Handle responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, etc.* Guide and support students in their education and personal development* Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure the well-being of students
Qualifications and Requirements
* Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings* Both spouses should be age 27 or older* Valid driver's license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans* High school diploma or GED required* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.* Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students* Both spouses must complete an individual employment application
