What are the responsibilities and job description for the Houseparent Couples Wanted position at Milton Hershey School?
Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to provide a nurturing environment for students aged pre-K to 12th grade. As houseparents, you will reside in on-campus housing with your spouse and care for a group of 8-12 students, focusing on guidance, life skills, and moral values.
The ideal candidates are experienced in working with youth, preferably from under-served settings, and have been legally married for at least two years. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
As houseparents, you will manage household responsibilities, drive students to activities, administer medication, and maintain a smoke-free and weapon-free campus. You will also lead daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
In return, you will receive a competitive salary of $43,825 per person, a comprehensive benefits package, and relocation assistance. You will also enjoy a schedule of nine days on followed by three days off, with a three-week paid summer vacation.
