Milton Hershey School seeks a married couple to become houseparents, providing a nurturing environment for students in a supportive on-campus home. This unique opportunity requires a married couple to work together in guiding the educational journey and personal development of youth from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The ideal candidate has experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. A valid driver's license is required, along with the ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
As houseparents, the couple will provide daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. They will also manage household duties, handle responsibilities such as driving and administering medication, and maintain a smoke-free and weapon-free campus.
