Job Description
As houseparents at Milton Hershey School, couples will provide a nurturing and structured home environment for underserved youth. They will live on campus and oversee a group of 8-12 students, managing daily responsibilities and serving as parental role models. This unique career path requires consideration and commitment from both spouses, who must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidates will have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and they must be legally married for at least two years. They will also need a valid driver's license, ability to become certified to drive student home vans, and a high school diploma or GED. Couples must demonstrate a high degree of integrity and be willing to abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus policy.
