Job Responsibilities
Houseparents at Milton Hershey School are responsible for providing care and support to a group of approximately 8-12 students. This includes leading daily devotions, taking students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services, and managing daily responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, and budgeting. You will work closely with your spouse to maintain a consistent family-like structure for the students.
Requirements and Qualifications
We seek couples who have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. You must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. Valid driver's licenses and ability to become certified to drive student home vans are also required. High school diplomas or GEDs are necessary, and candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students.
