Houseparents - Relocation to Hershey, PA Required

Milton Hershey School seeks married couples to become houseparents. These individuals will live on campus and provide a family-like environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Each couple will be responsible for a group of 8-12 students.

The ideal candidate has experience working with youth, preferably in under-served settings. Both spouses should be at least 27 years old, and they must have been legally married for at least two years.

Couples will reside in on-campus student homes, where they will guide and nurture the students, handle daily responsibilities such as driving and administering medication, and maintain a budget.

Benefits:

• Salary of $43,825 per person, resulting in a total compensation package of approximately $150,000 per couple, including free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more

Requirements:

• Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings

• Couples must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (Note: Proselytizing is prohibited)

• High school diploma or GED required

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all staff are role models for students.
