Houseparents - Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to become Houseparents. These individuals will provide a nurturing environment for 8-12 students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
As Houseparents, the successful candidates will guide students in various aspects of daily life while ensuring a family-like structure, all while living on campus.
The ideal candidate couple will have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings.
The role requires both spouses to be age 27 or older, have a high school diploma or GED, and be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
Candidates must also demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students.
Benefits
A competitive salary of $43,825 per person (a total compensation package of approx. $150,000 per couple), comprehensive benefits, and support for relocation and ongoing training.
A schedule of nine days on followed by three days off, workdays include a period of personal time while students are at school, and a three-week paid summer vacation.
