Student Caregivers Wanted
Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to become flex houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes and guiding a group of approximately 8-12 students. As a houseparent, you will provide a family-like structure, handle daily responsibilities, and participate in longer-term tasks, like budgeting and reporting. You will also enjoy comprehensive benefits, including salary, housing, meals, utilities, and more, along with relocation assistance and paid training.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. You must also abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, with limitations on pets. Valid driver's licenses and the ability to become certified to drive student home vans are required. Additionally, you must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and participating in Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (Note: Proselytizing is prohibited).
