Married Couple Housing Facilitators

Residential Counselor Job Description
We are seeking married couples to become residential counselors at Milton Hershey School. As residential counselors, you will provide a safe and supportive living environment for our students, overseeing their daily needs and well-being. This unique role requires a married couple to live on campus and support approximately 8-12 students while ensuring a safe and structured home life.

Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing individualized support and guidance to students
• Developing and implementing behavior management plans to promote positive behavior
• Collaborating with other staff members to ensure a comprehensive support system for students
• Participating in regular training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements
To be successful as a residential counselor, you must have the following qualifications:

• Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
• This is a two-person job for couples who have been legally married for at least two years
• Both spouses should be age 27 or older
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
• A valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
• Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students
