Couples will work together to create a stable and loving home environment, promoting positive relationships and communication among students. They will also assist students with daily routines, including homework, meal times, and recreational activities.
This role requires flexibility and adaptability, as well as a passion for supporting young people. Couples will need to be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
Key Responsibilities
As houseparents, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing a nurturing family environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds
- Managing household activities
- Administrating care
- Fostering personal growth among students
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must have:
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- Been legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses should be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Limitations on pets
- Valid driver's license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity
- Both spouses must complete an individual employment application
