Milton Hershey School seeks married couples to become flex houseparents, leading a family-like environment for students.
As a flex houseparent, you will reside in a student home with your spouse and guide a group of approximately 8-12 students. You will work closely with other staff members to ensure students receive the support they need.
This is a unique career path that requires consideration and commitment from both spouses.
Responsibilities and Requirements
- Provide a family-like structure for students, including driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting
- Work closely with other staff members to ensure students receive the support they need
- Meet the qualifications and requirements listed below
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- Legally married couple with at least two years of marriage
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
