Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to become House Parents, playing a vital role in the nurturing and guidance of a group of 8-12 students within a family-like structure.
As Flex House Parents, you will reside on-campus in student homes, providing a consistent family-like environment for students and handling responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting. This is a two-person job for couples who have been legally married for at least two years, and both spouses must be age 27 or older.
We offer a competitive salary of $43,825 per person (a total compensation package of approx. $150,000 per couple), comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and a generous three-week paid summer vacation. Our staff also enjoy a schedule of nine days on followed by three days off, with personal time while students are at school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a family-like environment for students, including meals, activities, and supervision
- Drive students to appointments and events
- Administer medication and provide basic first aid
- Budget and manage household finances
- Report incidents and concerns to school administrators
Requirements:
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- Legally married couple with a minimum of two years together
- Age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
