About the Role
We are seeking married couples to serve as flex houseparents at Milton Hershey School. In this role, you and your spouse will reside in an on-campus student home and guide a group of approximately 8-12 students. Responsibilities include driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, and creating a consistent family-like structure for students.
Key Responsibilities
Some key responsibilities of the role include:
- Creating a safe and supportive living environment for students
- Developing and implementing plans to support student growth and development
- Fostering positive relationships with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you and your spouse must meet the following requirements:
- Have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- Demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all staff are role models for students
- Possess a valid driver's license and be able to become certified to drive student home vans
