Job Overview
We are seeking married couples to become flex houseparents, guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students in on-campus student homes. Flex houseparents provide a consistent family-like structure for students and handle responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, and more.
Responsibilities
- Create a nurturing family-like environment for students
- Guide and support students in their academic and personal growth
- Develop and implement daily schedules and activities
- Administer medications and manage student health
- Manage budgets and maintain accurate records
Requirements
To be successful as a houseparent, you and your spouse should:
- Have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings
- Be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Hold valid driver's licenses and be able to become certified to drive student home vans
- Demonstrate a high degree of integrity as role models for students
