About the Role
As a flex houseparent, you will provide a supportive family-like environment for students in your care. You and your spouse will work together to guide and nurture a group of students, overseeing daily activities and ensuring their well-being. This requires strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to lead students in daily devotions and attend Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include managing the day-to-day activities of students, including meal planning, household chores, and supervision. You will also be responsible for handling emergencies, such as medical issues or behavioral problems. In addition, you will be expected to communicate regularly with teachers and other staff members to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed academically and personally.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and they must have been legally married for at least two years. They should also have a high school diploma or GED, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all staff are role models for students.
