At Milton Hershey School, we are seeking married couples to join our team as Youth Development Specialists. This rewarding role involves serving as flex houseparents for disadvantaged youth in a structured living environment.
Milton Hershey School provides a unique opportunity for couples to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students from under-served settings. As flex houseparents, you will provide guidance, handle student needs, and assist in creating a family-like atmosphere for approximately 8-12 students. This position offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional development while living on campus.
The ideal candidate couple should have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and they should have been legally married for at least two years. They should also be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. Additionally, they must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students.
Benefits of this role include a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and three weeks paid summer vacation. The schedule consists of nine days on followed by three days off, allowing for personal time while students are at school. We offer free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more as part of the compensation package.
